The Cozy Code

You must be at least 13 — or older, if Discord's minimum age in your country is higher. That's a platform requirement, not a judgment about anyone. Don't ask anyone their age. Details: Age & Eligibility

The five things most likely to cost you your place here. If you remember nothing else, remember these.

1. Never take from a container that isn't yours. Every container is logged. You'll be found, and it's a ban — with a wipe if you're allowed back.
2. Never record voice chat. Ever, for any reason, even with permission.
3. Never show other players' nametags in anything you post outside Cozy.
4. Never invite Cozy members to private worlds, Realms, or Discords — including your own. Private means anywhere people can't join on their own: a Realm, a whitelist, an invite link.
5. Never ask anyone for personal information — including their age.

How we know. Every block placed or broken and every container opened on Cozy is logged with the player's name and the time, and kept for 90 days. Anyone can see it: stand next to a chest, type /co inspect, and click it. Stolen items are traced and recovered wherever they end up, and the person who took them loses more than they took. That's why nobody here locks their chests — and why the smart move is to never try.

1. Everyone here belongs. No hate, harassment, slurs, bullying, threats, or intimidation — in text, in voice, or in-game. Who someone is — their race, religion, gender, orientation, or disability — is never up for debate. Details: Respect & Inclusivity

2. Keep it cozy. This is a hangout, not a debate stage. Don't campaign, preach, or start arguments about politics, religion, or ideology, and don't aim any of that at another person. Jokes and roleplay don't excuse conduct that would otherwise break a rule. Details: Respect & Inclusivity

3. Protect everyone's privacy. Don't ask for anyone's personal information — age, real name, location, school, social media, photos — and don't try to work it out. Don't post your own exact age or birthdate. Never record Cozy voice chat. Details: Privacy & Personal Information

4. Keep it clean. No sexual content, sexual humor, gore, or sexualized skins, builds, or names — anywhere. No swearing in Cozy chat or voice — in-game private messages included. No romantic or sexual conduct toward another member, and no romantic or sexual relationships between people who met through Cozy while either is a member. We don't verify ages, so there are no exceptions. Details: Content Standards

5. Leave other people's things alone. No griefing, no stealing. Containers are never free to take from, even ones that look abandoned — if it isn't yours, ask first. Crops growing in the world are fine to harvest. Map art, books, and builds are someone's work too: copying one needs their permission. PvP only when both players agree. Details: Gameplay

6. Play fair. No X-ray, fullbright, exploits, seed cracking, or automation that plays for you. TNT duping is allowed; other dupes are not. Details: Mods & Fair Play

7. Cozy stays on Cozy. Don't recruit or redirect Cozy members to other communities, don't give them access to private or invite-only spaces, and don't post outside server or Discord links anywhere on Cozy. Being friends, playing public servers together, and playing other games together is fine. Building another community out of Cozy's members is not. Details: Community & Recruitment

8. Share your gameplay, not other people. Record and post your gameplay freely. Don't record voice chat, don't show other players' nametags in anything you post outside Cozy, and don't present yourself as official Cozy MC. Details: Recording & Posting

9. Report, don't retaliate. If something feels wrong, open a support ticket — you don't need to be sure. Never contact, pressure, or expose a reporter or witness. Individual cases stay in tickets; policy discussion is always welcome in #policy-discussion. Details: Reporting & Safety

10. The same rules on every Cozy server. Creative, Duels, and Hardcore have their own gameplay settings, but the community rules apply everywhere. Details: Gameplay

Most problems end with a correction or a warning. A short list of serious violations means immediate removal. Every enforcement notice tells you which rule it concerns, what status applies, and how to respond. Staff decisions are made in tickets and are expected to be followed — and staff are held to a public Staff Code. Details: Enforcement & Appeals · Staff Code

1. Join the Minecraft server first, with the account you want verified. Java: CozyMC.com · Bedrock: add friend PlayCozyMC, or connect to mc.cozymc.com port 19132. An account that has never joined can't be verified.
2. Read this whole page.
3. In #general on our Discord, send the verification word — kindness — then one space, then that exact Minecraft username. Nothing else.

These rules are protections, not restrictions. They exist so that Cozy can stay kind, fair, and welcoming for a long time — because this world isn't going anywhere, and neither are we.
